Laurie Carto
Teaching Assistant, Pre-K
Laurie Carto has been at Rockwern Academy for more than five years. Initially a cafeteria associate, she began substitute teaching in the ECEC as well as in kindergarten. Ms. Carto is thrilled to now be working in the Pre-K classroom with Maria Tower. This is such a fun age and an exciting time to watch them develop!
Prior to her time at Rockwern, Ms. Carto substituted at the Sycamore Schools for two years and also served as a Teacher’s Assistant in Madison, Wisconsin.
A graduate of Indiana University, Ms. Carto majored in journalism and minored in theatre. Upon graduation, she began working as a television reporter, anchor, and Feature Editor. After a brief stint in Los Angeles pursuing her acting dream, Ms. Carto returned to the Midwest to raise her two wonderful boys who are now teenagers! In her spare time, she enjoys performing with Improv Cincinnati.
