Diane Woloshin
Art Teacher
Diane Woloshin has been the Art Teacher at Yavneh/Rockwern since 1976 - the same year she graduated from DAA (now DAAP) with a BFA in art education and the same year she got married. Teaching at Yavneh/Rockwern had been her dream since she was in the sixth grade. Here she is able to combine her love for Judaism and art, and also be able to expose and excite students for future generations.
Mrs. Woloshin taught for 15 years at Cincinnati Hebrew Day School, as well as Adath Israel and Valley Temple Religious Schools. She also spent several wonderful and hot summers as the art director at the Union Camp in Utica, Mississippi. Mrs. Woloshin believes strongly in our school and wanted to make sure her two sons had a strong Jewish education. Jacob and Michael attended Yavneh from preschool through eighth grade. Jacob followed in his mother's artistic tradition and is now an architect, while Michael is practicing with his father's law firm in Newport, Kentucky. Thanks to Rockwern they both have maintained a strong connection to their friends and, most importantly, to their Judaism.
